2016 KEEP WINES CARIGNANE EVANGELHO VINEYARD

From the Evangelho Vineyard, 140 year old, head trained & dry farmed vineyard in Contra Costa, quite possibly the oldest Carignane in the world due to the silica in it’s soil making it impermeable to phylloxera. 100% whole cluster, slightly carbonic, aged in neutral oak for 6 months. This is a lighter reflection of the varietal than our previous year, rose petals and bramble fruit on the nose, medium bodied, long dusty tannins.
