2020 KEEP WINES CHARDONNAYSUSCOL CREEK VINEYARD

Suscol Vineyard is the holy grail so to speak of vineyards, it is dry farmed and no-till, the adjacent creek lends enough water to the deep vineyard roots so that neither is necessary. Almost all vineyards are one or the other and vignerons debate about which is better for the California climate constantly, one obviously using water and the other no-till option not adding to Co2 from the fermenting top soil. This Vineyard has also been organically farmed for over a decade and is a hidden gem located in the heart of Napa Valley. We barrel fermented this wine and aged it for 18 months in neutral oak. Our fist Chardonnay and the first wine from this special Vineyard that Jack farmed personally from the beginning to the end all by hand. We even hand harvested ourselves. It was a true labor of love and we love the wine that came from it.
